I just bought a Rhodesian Ridgeback female pet and I am seeking for a good African name?

I will like something like lioness in any native African language, no more than two syllabels

I just bought a Rhodesian Ridgeback female pet and I am seeking for a good African name?
You could go with Elsa (the lioness from Born Free) or go with a name from one of the lion king films. The only thing with native languages is that they can mean different things in different regions. (Like Suri, Tom Cruise's daughter. I think it means gift (or something nice like that) in one language, but it means pick-pocket in another!)

ADD: Just found the swahili name for lion- guess what it is - Simba. I don't think there is a separate name for lioness, but i will keep looking

Kept looking and found Lubaya, which means 'young lioness' in swahili. That's probably as close as you will get. But again, i will keep trying.
