Is there another name for Gari, that african cassava grain? i can't find it anywhere in orlando?

also is there a difference between the yellow gari or the white gari?

Cassava is also known as manioc in English. You can find manioc flour (harina de mandioca) in the Latino section of most grocery stores. There is a sweet variey and a bitter variety, but unfortunately my store doesn't label them.

Looks like sesame seeds they said it was probably the manna in the wilderness it was so healthy.


Cooked in a rice form one cup had more portein then a 1/4 pound burger. Evan a complete protein. It grows somewhere in the middle east and they said it would save a starving nation.
