Does anybody remember the name of the famous african model that almost got eaten by a lion crossing the desert

I read long time ago on "reader's diggest" an article about her, but I can't remember her name.

This probably ought not be in books and authors.... book reading types probably don't know as much about models. I hope she's okay :)
